Premier League Clubs Make Moves as Transfer Window Opens

Champions Arsenal are keen to enhance Mikel Arteta’s squad following their title-winning campaign last season, with sporting director Andrea Berta playing a crucial role in the team’s transfer strategy.
In a twist of fortunes, it appears the North London club may also be looking to offload some players this summer. Reports indicate that they have revised their asking price for one of their forwards.
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal is now willing to entertain offers for striker Gabriel Jesus, lowering their asking price to approximately £20 million. Initially, the Gunners had set the price at £30 million but have since reassessed his market value to between £20 million and £25 million.
Since joining Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, the 29-year-old Brazilian has made 123 appearances, netting 32 goals and providing 22 assists. However, his progress has been hindered by injuries, limiting him to just three Premier League starts last season as Arteta’s side clinched the title.
Despite having one year left on his contract, it seems Jesus’ time at The Emirates may come to a close this summer. While he is not actively seeking a move, the club is reportedly eager to offload the striker to alleviate their wage bill.
Everton, another Premier League club, has long held an interest in the Brazilian forward but has not yet submitted an official bid. Furthermore, his former club Palmeiras could also be considering a potential return for him to Brazil.
