Portland Thorns FC has officially announced that midfielder Olivia Moultrie has been placed on the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Season-Ending Injury (SEI) List. The decision follows Moultrie’s ACL injury to her right knee sustained during a training session last week.

The club expressed its commitment to providing Moultrie with “world-class care, recovery, and rehabilitation” as she embarks on her journey back to fitness. At just 20 years old, the talented midfielder has shown immense potential and determination throughout her career.

“Olivia is one of the most driven players I have been around, and she will use that drive during her recovery and rehabilitation,” stated Jeff Agoos, President and General Manager of Soccer Operations for the Thorns. He emphasized the club’s support, pledging every resource available to assist Moultrie during her recovery process.

This unfortunate injury not only sidelines Moultrie for the remainder of the 2026 NWSL season but also means she will miss the upcoming Concacaf Women’s Championship, a crucial tournament for World Cup and Olympic qualifications set for November and December in Texas.

Moultrie has had a stellar season, starting in 15 of her 16 appearances for Portland, where she has netted five goals and provided five assists. Since joining the Thorns in 2021, she has become a key player, amassing 79 starts in 108 appearances over the past six seasons.

In addition to her club performance, Moultrie has represented the U.S. women’s national team well, scoring five goals in 18 appearances. Her contributions were pivotal in the United States’ gold medal victory at the 2024 Concacaf W Gold Cup.
