Chelsea and Arsenal will clash at The Emirates on Sunday, with both teams eager to maintain their unbeaten starts to the Premier League season.

Chelsea has recorded victories against Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion, while reigning champions Arsenal opened their campaign with a win against Coventry City, followed by a narrow 1-0 triumph over Aston Villa.

With seven goals scored across two matches, Xabi Alonso’s side has displayed an attacking prowess. However, they will encounter a formidable defense in Arsenal, known for their resilience this season.

As anticipation builds for this key fixture, news has emerged that Chelsea is poised to sell one of its key players for an eye-popping fee.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City has secured a deal worth £125 million for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

The Argentine international has long been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge and was notably absent from Alonso’s last two matchday squads following a substitute appearance against Fulham.

Since his arrival from Benfica in 2023, Fernandez has made a significant impact, contributing 31 goals and 30 assists in 170 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions.

Initially, Chelsea set a £120 million valuation for the central midfielder, hoping to attract formal offers from Manchester City and other interested clubs. However, with City failing to act before the initial deadline, they have subsequently come in with a substantial £125 million bid that Chelsea has accepted, according to Romano.

The 25-year-old is now expected to undergo a medical examination ahead of his imminent transfer to The Etihad, with arrangements to finalize the deal before the transfer window closes on Tuesday evening.
