Arsenal Eyes Summer Revamps Following Premier League Triumph
Premier League champions Arsenal are poised for a dynamic summer in the transfer window after a remarkable season. Under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, the Gunners overcame fierce competition, notably from Manchester City, to secure the title for the first time in over 20 years, having previously finished as runners-up on three consecutive occasions.
Despite falling short against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, Arteta’s men can reflect positively on a season of significant progress and achievement.
Off the pitch, however, Arsenal may face some challenges as one of their key players reportedly draws interest from a Premier League rival.
According to Football Insider, Everton has set its sights on Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus, although the Merseyside club is hesitant to meet Arsenal’s asking price for the Brazilian striker.
Gabriel Jesus, 29, has made a notable impact since joining Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, netting 32 goals in 123 appearances. His previous stint at The Etihad saw him score 95 goals and provide 45 assists, contributing to 11 trophies, including four Premier League titles.
Unfortunately, frequent injuries have hindered his recent form, leading to just three Premier League starts in the last campaign. Arsenal is reportedly willing to entertain offers around £20 million for Jesus this summer, yet Everton’s concerns about his injury history make them cautious about moving forward.
Interest in the striker isn’t limited to the Premier League. Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan have also expressed interest, while Palmeiras aims to entice him back to Brazil.
Though Jesus is under contract with Arsenal until the end of the 2026/27 season, the prospect of his departure appears increasingly likely as the summer transfer window unfolds.
