On April 29, the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced that there would be no significant changes to its schedule through the 2028, 2029, and 2030 seasons. This decision reflects a commitment to consistency for all parties invested in the league’s growth and stability.
The NWSL’s statement emphasized its desire to maintain a steady calendar as a crucial factor influencing the decision. Following extensive discussions with key stakeholders and decision-makers, the league concluded that disruption could hinder its ongoing success.

Supporters of the proposed schedule change argued that aligning with other major leagues globally would eliminate conflicts with existing tournament schedules.
