Atlanta has officially unveiled the branding for its National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team, scheduled to make its debut in 2028 under the name Atlanta City FC, as announced by AMB Sports and Entertainment on Monday.
The club’s crest features a vibrant red and peach color scheme, symbolizing the city’s resilience. Centered within the design is a phoenix shaped like the letter “A,” surrounded by the iconic dogwood blossom and roots, which are significant to the Atlanta community. The official colors include Atlanta Red, Georgia Peach, Platinum Metallic, and Black Char.
“Atlanta City FC embodies the energy, diversity, and ambition of our community. We are dedicated to building a club that reflects Atlanta’s identity and represents its future on the national stage,” said Deandra Duggans, the club’s Chief Business Officer.
Owned by Home Depot co-founder Arthur M. Blank, Atlanta City FC is part of a portfolio that includes Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United and the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons, all managed by AMBSE.
“Our supporters are the heart and soul of this club, and their passion will shape our identity. We eagerly anticipate the moment Atlanta City FC takes the pitch in just a few years,” Blank remarked in a statement.

Atlanta City FC will play at the iconic Mercedes-Benz Stadium, sharing the venue with Atlanta United and the Falcons. The lower bowl is set to feature a new configuration, allowing for an estimated capacity of about 28,000 spectators, despite the stadium’s total capacity of 71,000.
This new addition to the NWSL marks Atlanta’s latest foray into women’s soccer. The city is no stranger to the sport, having previously hosted the Atlanta Beat, which competed in the Women’s Professional Soccer league in 2010 and 2011, and the Women’s United Soccer Association from 2001 to 2003.
Columbus, Ohio, is also getting ready to welcome a new expansion side, adding to the NWSL’s growth as they prepare to debut as the league’s 18th club in 2028.
