Arsenal Aim to Maintain Winning Streak Against Sunderland

The Premier League champions, Arsenal, are eager to extend their flawless start to the season as they prepare to take on Sunderland this Saturday evening.

Under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, the Gunners have kicked off the new league campaign with victories in their first two matches, including an impressive comeback against London rivals Chelsea at The Emirates on Sunday.

Currently sitting in second place on the Premier League table, Arsenal trails leaders Manchester City by just one goal in both scored and conceded.

As they gear up for their visit to The Stadium Of Light, reports suggest that Arsenal has set its sights on a talented La Liga midfielder.

According to Fichero, reported via CaughtOffside, the Gunners have dispatched scouts to observe Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume in action.

The 24-year-old, who joined Sevilla on loan from Inter Milan in 2024, secured a permanent move to the Spanish club six months later. Since then, he has made 90 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and providing seven assists.

Primarily operating as a defensive midfielder, Agoume has also attracted interest from Manchester United. However, reports indicate that Arsenal’s main focus in the upcoming January transfer window may lean toward bolstering their attacking options.

Agoume’s contract with Sevilla extends until the conclusion of the 2027/28 season, but speculation suggests that he could draw interest from various clubs in the forthcoming transfer windows. Additionally, Fulham, another London rival, has expressed interest in the midfielder, who only made four appearances during his stint with Inter Milan.
